Yijia's Recipe Box
I decide to put some of my recipes online since I think some of you will enjoy them. Most of these recipes are quite easy and quite good. The ingredients can be found in most supermarkets and asian food stores. But as I have come to realize through cooking for myself and Matt, most of the recipes can be altered and most ingredients can be substituted by something similar. If you can't find chinese cooking wine, you may use dry sherry. Cassia bark and cinnamon sticks can be used interchangably. Dried or canned spices or vegetables are perfectly fine for a recipe that calls for fresh ones usually. If they are dried and canned and sold in the store, then there is a reason whey they are dried and canned and sold in the store.

The recipes are not categorized at the moment, since there are not enough of them to be worthwhile to categorize. Once this list becomes too big to be browsed easily, I will do something about it. I also wrote a list of things a typical chinese kitchen has for the people that didn't grow up with one. I want to thank my mother for making delicious food for me and my dad over the years. She is a great cook and someday I will steal all her recipes! :-)
